Silver Strikers coach Lovemore Fazili has expressed concern over the bluntness of his forwards in front as his side faces Dwangwa United in the quarter-finals of the Fisd Challenge Cup tomorrow at Silver Stadium in Lilongwe.

Despite playing some fluid passing game that has exposed opponents’ defence, Silver have struggled to score in the past three games.

He said: “It is a big concern when you create chances, but are not scoring. The game against Dwangwa is a cup game and we need to utilise chances. We have been working hard in training. I just hope the strikers translate that in the actual game. Football is about goals and we need to score goals in normal time.”

Silver missed out on the Carlsberg Cup and also the Presidential Cup and they badly need silverware.

“You can’t blame the fans for demanding too much. They need to be happy and that is by winning trophies. It will be good if we can give them something to be happy about,” said Fazili.

Dwangwa have seasoned coach in Macdonald Mtetemera, who can pull out a surprise tomorrow having experience and tactical depth.

“With self-belief we can do it. It is a cup game; we just need to be focused and feel confident,” he said.

At Nankhaka Ground, Blue Eagles will be up against Zodiak Broadcasting Station-sponsored side Tiakalulu.

Eagles team manager Gabriel Chirwa said they are not underrating Tiakalulu. n
