Ethiopia, one of the Flames’ opponents in the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) group qualifiers, will camp in Brazil to tune up for Group B two-legged encounters.

FAM has since started strategising for the Flames’ marathon of six group matches and friendly matches by announcing a K300-million ($800 000) budget proposal.

The budget includes Flames warm-up matches with the Flames’ deputy coach Jack Chamangwana telling radio stations that they can qualify with a proper strategy of ensuring wins at all cost on home soil and targeting draws on the road.

Ethiopia website www.6kilo.com  quoted the Ethiopia Football Federation president Junedin Basha confirming on Tuesday that their team will travel for international friendly away to Angola on August 3, before flying to Brazil for the camp.

“Besides the training camp, we shall also have some friendly games in Brazil to shape the team,” Basha is quoted as saying.

Meanwhile, Mali, who hosts the Flames on September 5, have hired their former striker and captain Frédéric Oumar Kanoute as their ambassador of football.
