Gaba, Tabitha on target
South Africa-based Flames captain Frank Gabadinho Mhango and his France-based Scorchers counterpart Tabitha Chawinga were on target for their respective clubs in league matches on Saturday.
In a match monitored on SuperSport television, Mhango snatched a late equaliser from the penalty spot to rescue a point for Richards Bay in a Betway Premiership match against Polokwane.

The penalty was awarded after a foul in the box and the Flames marksman to levelled matters in the 86th minute, cancelling Polokwane’s first-half goal.
Mhango has now taken his tally to three goals, three behind joint leading scorers Sede Junior Dion of Golden Arrows and Sekhukhune United’s Bradley Grobler.
In an interview yesterday, the former Marumo Gallants, Moroka Swallows, AmaZulu, Orlando Pirates, Bidvest Wits, Golden Arrows and Bloemfontein Celtic striker said: “The equaliser was vital because we avoided back-to-back defeats.

“It is also not easy to earn a point away.”
Richards Bay are 12th in the 16-team South African top-flight with 12 points from 11 matches, 10 points behind leaders and champions Mamelodi Sundowns.
Magesi FC, coached by Mhango’s compatriot John Maduka, are second from the bottom with nine points from 11 matches.
Meanwhile, Tabitha struck the lone goal as Olympique Lyon edged Paris FC to make it six out of six wins for the reigning champions.
She netted in the 75th minute on return to club duty after leading the Scorchers to their maiden Women’s Africa Cup of Nations’ qualification following a 2-0 aggregate win over Angola on Tuesday.
Lyon have 18 points from six matches.
