Wonder-boy Gabadinho Mhango made a convincing second-half substitute appearance as his new employers Bloemfontein Celtic beat Kaizer Chiefs 1-0 to lift Macufe Cup in South Africa on Sunday.

The former Big Bullets star was able to play, despite being unregistered, as it was an informal cup competition, which was part of a week-long festival of culture and music at Free State Stadium.

Vuyani Ntanga scored the lone goal on the 25th minute before Mhango came in after break, reportedwww.supersport.com on Sunday.

Mhango signed a year-long contract with an option for extension to two more years. He is waiting for the January transfer window to be registered.

Celtic, who have new coach Ernest Middendorp following Clinton Larsen’s resignation, played the game under assistant coach Boebie Solomons.

Celtic used four players from the Colts development team as well as a few stalwarts and players who have not featured much this season.
