Government has appointed Dr Janet Chikaya-Banda as Solicitor General, replacing Anthony Kamanga who was appointed Attorney General in December last year.
Kamanga confirmed Chikaya-Banda’s appointment in an interview on Friday.But Chikaya-Banda couldnot be reached for comment.
“I can confirm that Dr Janet Chikaya-Banda has been appointed as the new Solicitor General. I, however, do not know when she is to report for duties,” he said.
According to Kamanga, Chikaya-Banda worked as chief reform officer in the Malawi Law Commission.
