Local hip-hop artist, Gwamba, has released a single titled Ndi Ofewa.

The four-minute love and dance song, produced by BFB and is sung in Chichewa features Emm Q of Pittie Boiz.

The two Lilongwe-based artists rap and sing about a fly flexible girl.

“The song which is now out on radio and the Internet is for everybody. It’s different from what I do. I’ll be giving Malawi nothing but the best hip-hop songs,” said Gwamba.

This is the artist’s first release under Prime Time Media, after he signed a recording and management deal with the stable this month.

The artist is expected to release few more singles and videos before Prime Time Media will be releasing his most anticipated yet-to-be-titled album early next year.

Born Duncan Zgambo, Gwamba has become one of the rising popular Malawian rappers, enjoying radio airplay and live performance bookings in the cities of Lilongwe, Blantyre, Mzuzu and Zomba.

He derived his stage name from tribal language Tumbuka, which means ‘Someone Who Gives’.

He has been in the M-Dubz (Malawi’s urban music industry) for five years after he dropped his first single with the Pittie Boiz called Work That Thing in 2008.

Gwamba started recording as a solo artist 2009 and has dropped hit singles such as Mmesa, Tikakumane Kumadzi, Sindingasiye Bawa, Carina ya Mdala and the latest.
