Hallmark flies local golfer to Zimbabwe for tourney
Hallmark Creations has sponsored Simon Moses’ participation in Zimbabwe Pro-Am Golf Challenge in the promising golfer’s pursuit for a breakthrough and fortune on the international scene.
The tournament, scheduled for Wingate Park Golf Club, is scheduled to start today and ends tomorrow in Zimbabwe’s capital Harare.
It will be played on strokeplay format with R30 000 (about K15 million) prize money at stake for the top 10 golfers.
Moses, who left the country yesterday, said he is optimistic of making a cut as a way of expressing his appreciation to Hallmark Creations, who have sponsored him to the tune of K500 000.
“Hallmark Creations has always been there for me and it’s payback time. I definitely need to make a cut this time around and I am all set,” he said.
Hallmark Creations managing director Gift Chidya Gondwe said they want to equip the golfer with international exposure to develop him in the professional ranks.
“He has the potential to make it big and with frequent participation in such tournaments, it won’t be long before he makes a breakthrough,” he said.
Hallmark Creations has, in the past, sponsored Moses in similar tournaments in Kenya and Botswana.
