Dj Trigger: We want to promote individual hard working spirit

Chez Ntemba dancing competition returns this Sunday in a new style and target. One person—a girl to be precise is expected to walk away with a whopping K60 000 (about $150) cash in the Chez Ntemba dancing competition that will attract only girls.

The debut which will be coming at times according to organisers comes as part of special events for youths organised to create fun for the teens in a build-up for more fun during the festive and New Year season.

One of the organisers DJ Trigger said the objective of the event is to give a chance to aspiring female dancers to expose their dancing antics individually.

“The Chez Ntemba dancing competition promotes group talent and the prizes are won by a group. We want to promote individual hard working spirit and we will be doing this by organising individual dancing competition. We have started with girls and there will be a session for boys and then a mix them. We create a platform and it is up to the youths,” said DJ Trigger.

He added that the competition is different from the K120 000 (about $300) dancing competition whose money is shared by top four dancing in that only one person will take home the whole cash.

“It will be very competitive and the judges will be very strict. The focus will be on dancing styles, relevance of the dance, song choice, attire and composure when on stage the one who impresses in all will take it all,” he said adding that for the first time they are receiving more entries.
