Kabambe says will fix forex shortage
UTM Party president Dalitso Kabambe says his administration will fix forex shortages and revive the ailing economy through a number of measures.
He said this on Wednesday at Mkanda Trading Centre in Mchinji where he conducted a rally.

Speaking in an interview with The Nation, the former Reserve Bank of Malawi governor said if elected, his government will introduce austerity measures to curb spending.
He claimed that 70 percent of forex generated from tobacco sales is spent on foreign trips.
“We will cut government’s expenditure on imported items from day one and effect austerity measures,” said Kabambe.
During the rally, UTM vice-president (Centre) Hellen Chabunya encouraged young people to take advantage of their vote to usher in a youthful president to bail them out of economic challenges.
“UTM has a youth-centred manifesto, which young people need to closely follow and make informed decisions on the ballot,” she said.
