Some fans in Lilongwe have expressed satisfaction with this year’s Big Brother Africa (BBA) representatives Natasha Tonthola and Fatima Nkata.

In a random interview with Malawi News Agency (Mana) on Monday, people said they have been waiting for a win since BBA started in 2006 when Hazel Warren missed the grand prize by a whisker.

Mathews Banda, a business man, said the country’s representatives can win the ultimate grand prize this year.

“We have seen our representatives reaching finals but we get disappointed in the finals,” Banda said.

He further said this time around he is expecting a win from the representatives as nothing can stop them from doing so.

Sharing the sentiments, Martha Chitongwe said she believed that this year the representatives would bring money home.

“I have been following Fatima Nkata’s programmes on MBCTV and she is such a person who can make it to the end of the series and bring the money home,” Chitongwe said.

Chitongwe, however, said people in the country need to be sensitised more on the show so that the country’s representatives can survive the eviction.

In an interview with Mana, MultiChoice Malawi sales and marketing manager responsible for (North and Centre) Macronnix Kaulembe said this year’s representatives have all the qualities to win the grand prize, saying they have vast experience on how to entertain people but viewers must vote.

“This year’s representatives have all that it takes for winners hence I expect them to do extremely well during this year’s edition,” Kaulembe said.

Kaulembe also urged viewers in the country to keep on voting so that they survive.

For the past editions, Malawi had seen Code Sangala, Mzamose Chibambo, Hazel Warren and Watipatso Kulemeka reaching the final stages of the competition.—Mana
