Lilongwe Round Table installs water system at child care centre
Lilongwe Round Table 32 has installed water points at Zoe Foundation in Area 25 in the capital city to enhance access to clean water at the facility.
Speaking on Saturday during the handover, Lilongwe Round Table 32 community service officer Miraaj Bhagwanji said the water project consists of boreholes, water pump, solar panel and a tank stand.

He said the facility had no running water in the kitchen, toilets and bathrooms.
Said Bhagwanji: “When we visited the premises earlier, we noticed that they did not have running water, and we thought for sanitary reasons and health well-being, they need safe running water here.
“So, we embarked on a fundraising drive and today we are making the handover. We appreciate Wota & Fim who provided a water pump and a
solar panel, Whike Creacon who provided the tank stand. In total, we have invested K11 million in the water project.”
Wota & Fim operations manager Mikail Perino said they were happy to contribute towards the noble cause.
“Water is life and everyone needs safe water. We are proud to have partnered Lilongwe Round Table 32 in this water project,” he said.
Part of the money was raised through a cycling event that took place at Kumbali Lodge earlier this year.
Zoe Foundation administrator Temwa Chilenga thanked Lilongwe Round Table 32 for providing safe water which will serve 106 children at the centre.
The tablers also donated drugs to the foundation which takes care of orphans.
