Mvalo and Company team, which featured Nelson Njikho, Henry Ngilazi, Master Mbale and Collen Sibande, came second on 91 points.

On third position was the FMB team of Sunil Godambe, Thakor Mahindra, Rune Patel and Hamat Bhaghart which had 90 points.

“We know there are people out there who are needy and when we hear an organisation is doing some charity work, we support it.

“That is why we are here to assist. It is a noble cause and we are happy to have been part of this event and to have won as well,” said Bisika, who spoke on behalf of the champions.

Penemulungu said the tournament was jointly organised by three Lions Clubs—Capital City, Mtunthama and Lilongwe.

“This is the first time for the three clubs to work together in raising funds. We have separate projects, but we will share the money equally. Today, we have raised K2 million, but we expect even more because some organisations and companies are yet to fulfil their pledges,” he said.

Penemulungu said the money will go towards serving the needy. n
