Loiso’s new single tackles toxic relationships
Local Afro artist and guitarist Loiso, real name Loiswayo Roben, has captivated audiences with his new Tola which promotes freedom from toxic relationships.
In an interview, Loiso said Tola is inspired by his desire to uplift those trapped in toxic relationships while also shedding light on gender-based violence (GBV).
”Tola empowers people to break free from abusive relationships and stand up against violence,” he said.

He said society’s expectations and the fear of being alone are trapping many in toxic relationships.
“Misconceptions such as the scarcity of good relationship and marriage partners force people to endure abuse,” said the artist.
Christina Khan, a youth empowerment activist and a fan, applauded Loiso’s work.
”Tola brings a powerful
message to break free from toxic relationships, positively impacting the youth and helping us navigate these challenges. Loiso’s talent is bringing a positive impact, especially among young people,” she said.
