After performing at the Mr Malawi-Ireland contest at the Bewleys Hotel in Dublin last weekend, Lulu dishes out his final vibes in the United Kingdom on Saturday.

The N’dzalera star said after his do at the first ever Mr Malawi contest, fans wanted more of him, inviting him to the Teachers’ Club in the Irish capital.

“I was scheduled to have only one show but fans invited me for another show. I have been impressed with the reception I got as the crowd seemed so happy with my new songs,” said Lulu, who has finalised work on his Ndakudziwa album.

According to Lulu, he returns to Malawi by end of August, and goes straight into plans for his album launch.

“I am pegging the launch for September 15 at the Lilongwe Golf Club and several acts will be on show, including Chileka reggae group, Black Missionaries,” said Lulu on Tuesday.

A statement from Elegant Music the hit maker’s new album, will be launched in both Blantyre and Lilongwe in order to excite his fans.

“We are up for a double launch starting in Lilongwe on the 15th September at the Lilongwe Golf Club and in Blantyre on the 20th September at Robins Park.”

According to Lulu’s manager, Dawa Loga Lemberger they opted for a double CD launch in both cities in order to connect with his fans through his music and celebrate together with his heart warming music.

The album which contains hit singles like Mponyere, Ndzalera, and Mtima wakana which are currently enjoying airplay on radio, at weddings and bridal showers contains 12 songs, with a hint of his signature Afro- touch that he is known for.

This will be Lulu’s fourth album after Mbambande, Kumalembe and Sindilora and the first album to be released while under Elegant Music, a record label under Elegant Resources by Ariana Louise which he has been signed to since January 2013.

Lulu also participated in the just ended Malawi Fashion Week 2013 and produced the Malawi Fashion Week 2013 theme song titled Malawi Tiye earlier this year, which talks about the change in Malawian fashion. The song has an upbeat tempo that automatically sticks in a listeners head.

  1. Lulu is in the Republic of Ireland NOT the United Kingdom. It’s Northern Ireland that is part of the United Kingdom – together with England, Scotland and Wales.
