Lunzu SDA Church in stewardship seminar

Lunzu Seventh-Day Adventists (SDA) last sabbath held a stewardship seminar when Christians helped one another to identify with and reconnect to biblical principles in establishing and furthering the kingdom of God.

Deacon Maxwell Gondwa of Soche SDA Church moderated the seminar with emphasis on the need for believers to revitalise their faith and remain steadfast.

Gondwa warned that signs are there for all to see that these are the last days.

He challenged Christians to examine their faith and commitment to God, saying some believers are suffering today because they deviated from the Lord’s will.

“God had very good plans to prosper all of us, but if you are among those suffering, ask yourself what has gone wrong in your faith. But because we don’t want to follow God’s ordinances, we courted ourselves curses,” said Gondwa.

He said evading tithe is a major source of curses to many believers, just as it is a source of blessings to others.

Gondwa said Christians who do not pay tithe should not expect God to bless them because they are holding onto God’s possession illegally.

“Don’t be surprised when you see that God is not answering your prayers. Don’t be surprised when your daughters have problems finding husbands.

“All this is because you have chosen to take your own path that is different from what God designed for you. You are simply paying for your disobedience,” said Gondwa.

Lunzu SDA Church elder, Bigstone Chipungu, said the stewardship seminar is one of the special days in the Adventist communion as members share information on various issues.

He said the aim of the seminars is to help believers live within Christian values and principles. n
