Former Be Forward Wanderers team manager Stevie Madeira has warned his former employers not to underrate Mlatho Mponela whom they face today at Kamuzu Stadium in TNM Super League.

It will be Madeira’s first assignment against the Nomads after resigning and joining the rookies as chief executive officer (CEO).

Madeira: We will surprise them

The flamboyant CEO says the Nomads will be in for a surprise if they dare underrate his charges.

“We know Wanderers are in top form. They are playing good football. But they should not underrate us. We will surprise them,” he said.

Madeira said his four years spent at Wanderers will give his side an advantage.

“I know how Wanderers play. I know everything about them. Their strengths and weaknesses. We are winning this match,” he said.

But Madeira will not be on the technical area as he used to when he was at Wanderers.

“We have one of the best technical panels and very good players. They will do the job as I enjoy the match from the stands,” he said.

Mponela are 12th on the table with eight points from eight games. They will wrap up the Southern Region trip with a match against 13th-placed Ntopwa FC tomorrow at the same venue.

“Our aim is to collect accumulate as many points as possible in the first round so that we do not put ourselves under pressure come second round in our quest to avoid relegation,” said Madeira.maximum points. We want to

Meanwhile, TNM Super League defending champions Nyasa Big Bullets face a stern test of character as they invade the Northern Region to play Moyale Barracks and Mzuni FC at Mzuzu Stadium.

After suffering a 2-1 loss to Blue Eagles, coach Callisto Pasuwa will be hoping to recover and come back home with maximum points.

Bullets, who are seventh on the table with 10 points from five games, start the trip with a tough assignment against Moyale before facing Mzuni FC.

Leaders Blue Eagles, will also be on the road as they face Karonga United at Karonga Stadium while second-placed Kamuzu Barracks will face Dwangwa United at Chitowe.

Silver Strikers, who are sixth with 11 points, will host Mighty Tigers at Silver Stadium.
