Marvellous Deeds 3rd album launch Sunday
All is set. The much-awaited time has come for Blantyre fans as the Lilongwe-based Marvellous Deeds will be launching their third album Sanathane Nane at Robins Park this Sunday, August 25.
The CD was launched in Lilongwe on July 7at the Sheaffer Marquee. “This is the time for our Blantyre fans and surrounding areas to taste the real Marvellous Deeds.
“They have been listening to our songs but they have not watched us performing. Now time has come for them and we are promising fire,” said the group’s music director Frank Phiri.
He also said the first 20 people to arrive at the launch will receive free Marvellous Deeds T-shirts. In Lilongwe they did the same where 10 people received the T-shirts.
“In Lilongwe over 3000 people witnessed the launch. It is our hope that Blantyre will be more than that.”
Patrons will pay K800. The supporting artist will be The Mighty POV, Favoured Martha, Kamuzu Barracks Gospel Singers, Great Angels Choir, Khama Khwiliro, Peter Mulangeni and Miriam Kuseni.
The album was recorded at Llohay, Exploits and Mathumela studios.
