Afro-pop musician Maskal who is currently in the United Kingdom courtesy of H&K Events for a series of music recording and performances leaves for Malawi this Wednesday.

In an e-mail response, H&K Events director Henry Baza, while disputing speculations that the artist is stranded in the UK, said the artist has finished his appointments in the UK.

“Maskal finished his tour on January 18 and as you know, he has been busy in the studio and touring the country with performances. He was meant to fly out on Friday January 31, but the date was changed to this coming Wednesday to allow him meet some people,” he said.

Baza added that the artist impressed at his shows and he has been meeting several people who are interested in his talent. He said there are possibilities that he will visit the country again for other performances.

“We are currently working to bring him back to UK in summer for Malawi at 50 celebrations,” he said.

Maskal left Malawi for UK on November 28 and he had five music shows. He had two shows in Birmingham, one each at Nottingham, Manchester and Glasgow. He also recorded a single The Way You Are at the Africa Translated Records in Birmingham and is currently working on the video.
