Malawian midfielder Raquub ‘Lulu’ Milanzi has signed a year’s contract with Kenya Premier League side Tusker FC.

In a telephone interview from Nairobi on Monday, Milanzi confirmed that he was awaiting an international transfer certificate (ITC) from the Football Association of Malawi (FAM).

“It is relatively a good deal, but they said they do not offer sign-on fee. Instead, they have given me some money for accommodation and also buying some personal effects,” said the former Civo United player.

FAM transfer matching system manager Casper Jangale confirmed that Tusker, through the Kenya Football Federation, requested for the ITC.

“We have since issued his [Lulu] ITC alongside that of Gerald Phiri Junior who has signed for Caps United of Zimbabwe. He [Lulu] joins them as a free agent,” said Jangale.

Lulu last played for Civo last season after a stint with Caps. He also featured for the Flames in a friendly game and also the Malawi Under-23 national team.
