Moyale Barracks will stick to Chitowe Stadium in Dwangwa after refusing to return to their home ground, Mzuzu Stadium, in a TNM Super League against Blantyre United on Saturday.

It will be one of this weekend’s 18 league fixtures across Malawi.

Super League of Malawi (Sulom), who on Tuesday insisted that it was impossible to entertain Moyale’s request to play home matches at Chitowe, changed the tune in an interview with several radio stations on Thursday.

“Moyale want to have home matches in Chitowe to show their anger and punish hooligans who mess up their games at Mzuzu Stadium,” said Sulom vice-general secretary Thoko Chazema on Tuesday.

Mzuzu Stadium has witnessed violence of late including during Big Bullets match against Super Eagles recently.

Full fixtures are as follows: Saturday: Moyale vs Blantyre United @ Mzuzu Stadium; Epac FC vs Red Lions @ Silver Stadium; Escom United vs Blue Eagles @ Kalulu Stadium; Mighty Wanderers vs Kamuzu Barracks @ Balaka; Civo United vs Mafco FC @ Civo Stadium; Escom vs Blue Eagles @ Kalulu. Sunday: Kabwafu FC vs Blantyre United @ Mzuzu Stadium; Big Bullets vs Blue Eagles @ Zacc; Azam Tigers vs Bvumbwe Research @ Kalulu Stadium; Silver Strikers vs Red Lions @ Silver Stadium.
