Mpinganjira awaits Nomads’ budget on sponsorship
Mighty Wanderers FC president and board chairperson Dr Thomson Mpinganjira says his sponsorship commitment to the club awaits the club’s budget.
The business mogul and philanthropist is the club’s major sponsor, having pumped in almost K2 billion in the past two seasons.

In an interview on Sunday, Mpinganjira said: “We are yet to sign an agreement because the club has to conclude a few things, including the final squad for next season.
“So, I will pick it up after they submit all that.”
The club’s chief executive officer Panganeni Ndovi confirmed in a separate interview that they are yet to conclude the budgeting process.
“There are a lot of things to consider and that means we cannot estimate all that now,” he said.
He, however, said the club has already engaged all their sponsors and partners, including Mpinganjira.
Said Ndovi: “Our expectations are that we will receive a positive response through the ongoing engagements.
“As you are aware, our likely participation in CAF Confederation Cup this year will have a significant impact on our budget, making these partnerships even more critical.”
The Nomads’ other sponsors and partners include 888 Bets Malawi, with whom they signed a K100 million kit sponsorship recently, Smile Insurance and Pemba Rubber Stamps and School of Driving.
Mpinganjira sponsors the club in his personal capacity.
