Mpulula worried over Sulom’s delay on his case

Azam Tigers coach Leo Mpulula has expressed disappointment over Sulom’s delay to act on his complaint against Silver Strikers supporters.

Mpulula recently lodged a complaint to Sulom after some alleged Silver fans insulted and poured beer on him after their TNM Super League game at Silver Stadium in Lilongwe.

“I am disappointed that up to now Sulom has done nothing about the complaint I lodged almost two weeks ago.

“Had it been the complaint was against another team other than Silver, Sulom would have reacted promptly and I am now beginning to smell a rat,” said Mpulula yesterday.

However, Sulom general secretary Williams Banda blamed the delay on communication breakdown.

“Mr. Mpulula indeed submitted a letter of complaint to our secretariat, but somehow it was misplaced.

“However, the letter has been found and is currently with our vice-president [Charles Twalibu].

“We’ll soon refer it to our legal adviser for his perusal before we can place charges against Silver,” assured Banda.
