Chairperson for the chapter, Reverend Moyenda Kanjerwa said the school is in a dilapidated state and needs urgent rehabilitation.

“The situation is bad, desks are broken, walls are dirty, roofs are wrecked, some toilets are not working and kitchen equipment is not working properly. This is affecting students’ performance,” said Kanjerwa.

The reverend added that part of the money would be used to pay fees for underprivileged students at the institution.

Activities included jumping castle for children, selling of second hand clothes and furniture auctioning. They expected to raise K500 000 (about $768).

In the past, the group managed to buy 150 desks for the school.
