Mwawi Kumwenda wins Golden Bib

Malawian netball sensation MwawiKumwenda was last week awarded the attacking Golden Bib Award for round two of the ANZ Championships.

According to Mwawi’s New Zealand club, Tactix, website, the Golden Bib is awarded each week to the attacker, midcourt and defender who ranks the highest across all ANZ Championship teams.

The feat came barely a few days after Tactix captain Anna Thompson waxed lyrical about Mwawi as a special weapon that will give fans plenty of highlights during the season.

“She has a whole bag of tricks and she is someone who has brought some flair. She has great aerial play and she is strong enough to muscle it up with the best of them. So, we are excited that she is part of our group,” said Thompson.
