NBS Bank has so far given out K4.28 million (about $17 120) in the ongoing EasyCash Promotion, the company’s marketing manager Timothy Ngwira has said.

He said the promotion has attracted more than K2 billion (about $8m) in savings out of 257 000 entries, a development, he said, is inculcating a saving culture among Malawians.

“We are excited with the promotion and the response has been overwhelming,” said Ngwira after the second draw at their head office in Blantyre.

During the draw, 19 people from all the bank’s branches won K10 000 (about $40) cash each.

To enter the promotion, NBS Bank customers are required to deposit a minimum of K10 000 in a fixed deposit account for a month.

Every week, 19 lucky NBS Bank customers walk away with K10 000 cash prizes each.
