Malawi’s gospel musician Allan Ngumuya has asked organisers of E-Wallet to consider categorising the competition to allow fair competition.
Ngumuya said this on the sidelines of E-Wallet finals in Blantyre. Seventeen-year-old Wakhumbachi Kalua won the title. Ngumuya says he was impressed with the quality performance by the finalists and says it promises a lot for Malawi’s music. However, the gospel musician feels fusing together dancing and music skills is unfair.
“It could be fair if the dancing and music categories were running separately,” says Ngumuya.
E-Wallet committee chair Felix Njawala said it is the dream of his committee to categorise the competition.
