Njati Njedede graces youth day

One-hit artist Njati Njedede, made a surprise appearance at a Youth Policy launch in Ntcheu on Monday. Malawi President Joyce Banda called him to the podium after she said he is one of the beneficiaries of the Joyce Banda Foundation.

“I noticed Njati Njedede when I was Minister of Gender. I was watching TV, as he narrated his story it touched me so I looked for him and asked him what I can do to help him,” said JB.

The Dale Wanga co-singer told the gathering that he has a positive outlook on life because of the Joyce Banda Foundation.

“I can say I am the first street kid who made it, all because of the President and Joyce Banda Foundation. I can speak grammatically correct English as you can hear,” he boasted.

Njedede pledged to support the youth more especially street kids nationwide but asked for more financial support.

Njedede became popular with the hit Dale Wanga on which he collaborated with Fuggie Kasipa.
