Nomads dislodge Bullets
Mighty Wanderers yesterday continued the humiliation of their rivals FCB Nyasa Bullets by displacing them from the summit of the TNM Super League table following a hard-fought 2-0 victory over Songwe Border United at Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre.
Straight from their emphatic 3-0 triumph over Bullets, the Nomads were made to sweat for the three points by the Karonga-based rookies.
The Lali Lubani Road side left it late when substitutes Clement Nyondo and Thierry Tanjong Sama struck in the 86th and 97th minutes respectively, to secure victory for the Blantyre-based giants.
The Nomads now have 51 points from 21 matches, two points above the People’s Team who have dropped to second.

It was a match Wanderers dominated from start to finish, but poor finishing almost cost them .
Striker Muhammad Sulumba was guilty of missing a number of clear chances in the opening stages, twice failing to beat Songwe goalkeeper Bernard Mwangosi.
In the second-half, Wanderers coach Bob Mpinganjira made the changes, introducing Nyondo, Promise Kamwendo and Stanley Sanudi for Sulumba, Adam Wallace and Blessings Mwalilino, respectively.
As the game entered the final stages, Mpinganjira made another tactical switch, bringing in Cameroonian Sama for Nyirenda.
Shortly after, Masiye Manda combined brilliantly with Nyondo to finally break the deadlock with a header in the 86th minute.
Sama doubled the lead in added on time.
In an interview, Mpinganjira said changes made after half-time earned them maximum points.
“I’m very happy that we didn’t give up, we kept on working hard kept on creating chances,” he said.
On ascending to the top, Mpinganjira said: “We need to work extra hard. This game is another sign to tell us that it will be tough.”
But Songwe coach Edwin Kaonga said they will still fight on to avoid the chop.
Songwe remain bottom with five points from 22 games.
Elsewhere Kamuzu Barracks defeated Mzuzu Citu Hammers 1-0 through Zelliat Nkhoma lone strike.
