Visitors and residents in Ntcheu are in for a rare encounter with the Black Missionaries this week.

On Friday, the reggae hitmakers will break away from their customary city-to-city circuits to perform at the famous Uncle B Nightclub.

According to Uncle B proprietor Violet Biliati, the outing will not only offer the best of the high-flying reggae band and its usual additives—Muyuda star Anthony Makondetsa, the late Gift Fumulani’s fledging heir Moda Fumulani and Black’s co-vocalist Yanjanani Chumbu.

Said Biliati in an interview: “Having been compelled to postpone the show on April 4, we are pleased to inform fun-seekers that the Blacks have finally confirmed to perform at Uncle B on June 6.

The Chileka-based musicians are heading for Ntcheu for the first time since June 20 when they performed before a sizeable audience at the district’s community hall.

Interestingly, Mafumu Bar owner Dalitso Likoloma, who hosted them two years ago, is working together with Uncle B proprietorship to give the revellers a show to remember.

“Blacks are a big band and we are always sharing the know-how to give our revellers a memorable show,” said Likoloma in an interview.
