Ntchisi Police arrest 16 people

Police in Ntchisi have arrested 16 people in a sweeping exercise that was conducted early this week. Ntchisi Police spokesperson Gladson M’bumpha said the people were arrested for being found moving at night at Ntchisi Trading Centre without concrete business. “We have charged them with rogue and vagabond. There have been more theft cases, hence the exercise,” said M’bumpha. He said 11 of the arrested people are women while five are men. He said the suspects will appear at Ntchisi First Grade Magistrate’s Court soon. —DYSON MTHAWANJI, Staff Writer
