OG Matches, manufacturers of OG Safety Matches, has introduced a competition which will see lucky customers winning bicycles and cellphones.

At a press conference announcing the introduction of the competition dubbed ‘OG Safety Match Buuu!’ the company’s managing director, Hanif Osman, said the competition is aimed at celebrating the coming on the market of the matches and also help people know the product.

“Four years ago, we used to import matches from India and it is good news that today we are having the product manufactured locally by OG Matches.

“We know that there are other matches on the market, but our product is exceptional in the sense that it safe to use,” he said.

Osman said the competition is open to all and to win, customers have to buy more packets of matches and check inside match’s box to see the prize they have won which could be a bicycle or a cellphone.

“In many competitions, vendors have benefited by searching for winning details in boxes before selling the products. We want customers to win; hence, we have hidden the details inside so that once it is opened, it cannot be sold,” he said.

Osman said the competition and the media promotions, to run throughout the year, will cost the company about K60 million.
