Pacharo Ngwira retains SRVL chair

Pachalo Ngwira retained his seat as chairperson for the Southern Region Volleyball League (SRVL) at Blantyre Youth Centre (BYC) on Sunday.

Ngwira, who has been chairperson for the league since 2009, accumulated 17 votes against Tchinga Chagaluka’s 14 and he will be SRVL boss for the next three years, according to Volleyball Association of Malawi (VAM) general secretary Jailosi Nkhoma, who was the returning officer.

Ngwira said his mission will be to revitalise volleyball competitions in their fold.

Charles Mikundi went unopposed as vice-chairperson after Edna Gondwa withdrew from the race.

Martin Hausi has retained the general secretary’s post while Sckenar Gwaza was elected vice-general secretary. Captain Chirwa is the treasurer.
