“All we know is what we saw at the stadium that two fans suffered some minor injuries and were treated by Malawi Red Cross,” Gondwa explained.

Stadium manager Charles Mhango said the fans who, climbed onto the roof, were careless with their lives as there was some unoccupied seats close to them.

The stadium was packed by a record crowd and some fans were still seen outside jostling for entry. The Bullets won the match 2-0 through Victor Limbani and Henry Kabichi goals in each half.
