Road to Relief aids NPL’s Mothers’ Fun run

A charitable organisation based in Blantyre named Road to Relief has donated items worth K500 000 to Nation Publications Limited’s Mother’s Day Fun Run initiative which aims at raising funds for the acquisition of maternal and infant equipment for use in government hospitals annually.

The organisation’s chairlady Sarah Kidy said the donation comes as one way of fulfilling its objective which is to help underprivileged people by keeping ties with other organisations that aid the underprivileged people and government hospitals.

“Our organisation values the spirit of sharing our earnings and the importance of saving lives. It is therefore, for such reasons that we thought of being part of this initiative by making this donation to this brilliant life saving initiative,” she said.

She said their organisation will continue making annual contributions towards the Mothers fun run project.

Among other items donated by the organisation include new born scales and wheel chairs.

Road to Relief was established 2007 and comprises of young women working towards assisting underprivileged people in various sectors.
