Saint, Piksy colour Starlight Session
The Stake Out Bar at Amaryllis Hotel in Blantyre on Sunday played host to the inaugural Starlight Session.
The event brought together two of the country’s top urban music artists Piksy and Saint.
The red carpet event promised to be a great entertainment attraction and true to that expectation, it just lived up to that.
First on the stage was Piksy. With age, the Unamata musician appeared to be getting even better. His assuredness in the manner he executed his craft remains his biggest strength.
He had the audience on their toes as he delivered a spell-bounding performance.
As he delivered the songs, Piksy ensured that his dance moves were also in tune. The jam-packed bar responded accordingly and together, they brought out an admirable synergy.
After almost an hour of non-stop performance, Piksy bowed out and to pave the way for the Lilongwe-based Saint.
Spotting a cowboy look, the Una hit maker did not waste much time but got patrons in the groove.
The audience, a majority of which were ladies, started screaming his Ayami catch line.
In no time, Saint left the designed performing space and found himself on a table in the middle of the arena. That default space appeared to stir him more. His musical magic came to the fore.
Saint did his latest compositions such as Omie, Una as well as the oldies such as Delilah. His voice never faded.
As he bowed out of the stage, the audience was left satisfied.
