Two golfers who will emerge winners in today’s Standard Bank tournament are expected to compete for regional tournaments that Standard Bank expects to host in Malawi and later in Mauritius.

According to a press statement from the bank, a field of 72 golfers are expected to compete for regional spots as Standard Bank tees off the golf season with some appetising prizes and accolades.

Terri Amaro, Stella Hara and Chimdima Mhango are some of the big names to watch at Nchalo Golf Club on Saturday as the Standard Bank golf season tees off in style with an invitational shotgun.

In today’s tournament, the bank is expected to interact with customers to update them on the progress of its digital banking strategy.

The strategy has so far seen Standard Bank Malawi, a part of Africa’s largest banking group by assets and profitability, launch deposit-taking ATMs and ATM swipe shopping at 40 major retailers, merchants and service providers.

Standard Bank hosts a tournament at Nchalo once every year and is a regular sponsor of the sport at local and international levels.
