Big Bullets are involved in a fresh row with Sulom over the handling of Super League fixtures.

Bullets are accusing the Super League of Malawi (Sulom) of easing the path for defending champions Silver Strikers in the way they are allocating games.

The development comes barely a week after Bullets hit out at Sulom for not exempting them from a league fixture, when they had contributed six players to the Flames.

Bullets general secretary Higger Mkandawire said they are not amused that Silver have played the least number of games [five] compared to other teams that have played three or more games.

“This is match-fixing and it is not the first time Sulom have done that because even last season, we complained against how they were handling fixtures,” said Mkandawire.

Sulom GS Williams Banda played down Bullets’ claims.

“The reason Silver have played less games is because they were involved in Presidential Cup quarter-final, semi-final and final matches. That is why even Mafco [who also made to the finals] have played only six games,” said Banda.

He said as the league progresses, they will find a way that the Bankers should catch up with the other teams.
