Former Zathu Band member Theresa Phondo says she is ready to go solo and show the world what she is capable of.
The singer said this after the release of her first single titled You.
She said the single gives fans a glimpse of her life which she said has gone through difficult seasons and is a reminder to those in challenging circumstances that they are not alone.
“It’s important to understand the reality that all you have is God and that He is enough. I found myself when I found Christ and I’ve never had so much hope in my life than now and it is that same hope that I would like to impart to everyone who listens to the single,” she said.
The songstress said she has also dropped a music video alongside the audio.
In a seperate interview, the artist’s former band mate Joe Kellz, who worked with Theresa at Zathu Band, said the songstress is talented.
He said: “I have always known that she is talented and is on her way to put Malawi on international pages. It’s not just her music, but she has an excellent personality too.”
The single is available on all streaming platforms and the video has been released on YouTube.
In 2016, Theresa started singing professionally with Zathu Band, winning three Best Group awards at the UMP Awards and the Nyasa Music Awards.
The song has been produced by Manifest.
