Three more Malawian players—Robin Ngalande, Gerald Phiri Jnr and Micium Mhone—have acquired their work permits and will now be eligible to feature for their new clubs.

Ngalande is now with Platinum Stars while Phiri and Mhone are set for a new lease of life at Bidvest Wits and Jomo Cosmos respectively.

However, veteran forward Esau Kanyenda is still waiting for his permit.

Flames coach Ernest Mtawali confirmed that the trio’s permits are now ready.

“The process of acquiring work permits is now complicated and takes a bit of time and it is relieving that three players now have their work permits ready, which means they will be available for selection,” said Mtawali.

And speaking from Polokwane in South Africa on Thursday, Kanyenda said: “Mine is not yet ready and it is a bit frustrating just to be training without knowing when the papers will be ready.”

Midfielder Robert Ng’ambi only started playing last week after acquiring a permanent resident permit while Limbikani Mzava got his work permit 10 days ago
