TNM give employees World Cup treat

As one way of developing interaction among its employees, TNM them special World Cup treat at their customer care premises dubbed as ‘TNM World Cup Fun Park.’

TNM staff followed the events as they unfolded in Brazil on big screen since its inception on June 12.

Speaking during the final game between Germany and Argentina, TNM head of marketing Sobhuza Ngwenya said the company decided to have a special place where its employees can interact while watching World Cup games.

“TNM has been in the world of sports for many years and to show our commitment to the development of sports we decided to extend this gesture to our employees by the way of providing platform where they can sit and watch the World Cup while sharing some ideas,” said Ngwenya.

Apart from giving its employees a platform to watch the World cup, TNM also a co-sponsored live coverage of the World Cup on state-owned MBCtv.

“We also thought of our customers out there as such we partnered with MBCtv, by the way of sponsoring live coverage of the World Cup matches and we believe through this partnership our customers from Nsanje to Chitipa have been able to watch the games from Brazil,” he said.

Ngwenya said TNM, which is the sponsor of country’s top league, was impressed with the 2014 World Cup as it will help in developing Malawi’s football.

“We have been able to watch international players showcasing their talents hence our players have been exposed to such skills and it is our hope that this would help them as they are preparing for the Nations Cup qualifiers against Benin and other games to come,” he said.

‘As sponsors of football in the country we look forward that our local players that take the national team to the African Cup of Nations in Morocco next year and also one day we will see them at the World Cup.” he said.
