Usi assures of Nasolo Bridge completion
Vice-President Michael Usi has said works on Nasolo Bridge Project in Blantyre will be completed and that any corrupt practices will be dealt with.
He said this on Friday after meeting Beit Trust, donors of the project at his office at Capital Hill in Lilongwe.

The Veep claimed the project paused following alleged reports of corrupt practices by some politicians who were asking for kickbacks and inflating project figures.
He declined to shed more light on the matter.
Said Usi: “We are investigating. We know the officers who were involved in these corrupt practices and they also know that we know. We are going to make sure that this is well attended to.”
Works on the K700 million-worth project have already resumed and it is projected to be completed within 90 days, according to Beit Trust board of trustees secretary Andrew Pocock.
Said Pocock: “Casting has already started. We are hoping that the project will be completed within the stipulated project period.”
Roads Authority chief executive officer Engineer Amiel Champiti said this was one of meetings with stakeholders of the project to ensure its smooth running.
He said there is progress of about 15 percent so far.
“We are grateful for the support of government and the donor and we assure the people of Ndirande and all stakeholders that the project will be done and with good standards,” Champiti said.
