We’ll have to sweat to match Wanderers—Mponda
FCB Bullets coach Peter ‘Mjojo’ Mponda says he feels his team will have to “sweat blood” if they are to match their arch-rivals Mighty Wanderers on Saturday.
The Nomads host the People’s Team in the TNM Super League at Kamuzu Stadium in the latest episode of the Blantyre derby.
He said: “Wanderers have really improved from last season.
“I watched them play against Silver [Strikers] last weekend and they were really good.

“They were comfortable on the ball, made timely movements and were consistent. They made Silver look very ordinary.
“Having said that, our preparations are going on well and we are happy with the work we are putting in.”
The Bullets gaffer also spoke highly of his Wanderers’ counterpart Bob Mpinganjira.
He said: “It is just unfortunate that Bob does not get the appreciation he deserves, but he is doing a good job and they just need to be patient.
“I have huge respect for Bob and his work.”
Mpinganjira could not be reached for comment yesterday, but former Wanderers defender Ojukwu Malunga described Mponda’s sentiments as “part of his trademark mind games”.
He said: “Peter is a master of mind games, he crafts his words in such a way that they appear real and, somehow, it works out for him.
“They have won all their six games this far and what he is saying is just meant to divert the attention from that.”
But reacting to Malunga’s sentiments, Mponda said: “Everyone is entitled to their opinion and what I have been saying is based on facts.
“It is not an exaggeration to say that Wanderers are playing well. Those that have watched them can bear testimony. I was there on Sunday.
