Zambia has invited Malawian firms to take part in its 48th International Trade Fair to be held on June 27 2012 in Ndola.

A statement, signed by Zambia’s Deputy High Commissioner to Malawi Henry Ngilazi, says the trade fair will be held under the them ‘Creating Synergies Beyond Borders.’

“As a country, we are looking at this as an opportunity to showcase what we have to offer and also strengthen partnerships and create more linkages with other business entities in the southern African region and beyond.

“As Africa, particularly the southern African region, aspires for greater regional integration, there is need to take advantage of such platforms to market the various services and products that our countries have to offer,” reads the statement in part.

The statement invites companies to exhibit machinery, livestock and different products in the agriculture sector.
Said Ngilazi: “We are appealing to the business community in Malawi to take keen interest in this international event to exhibit their goods and services.

“This is a chance opportunity for Malawi to showcase its potential in tourism, minerals and gemstones, among other products.”

Last year, the fair attracted 650 exhibitors with 98 coming from other countries.
