Zim starlet shoots videos in Malawi

Award-winning Zimbabwean singer Cindy Munyavi arrived in the country on Friday for a series of video shoots for her upcoming album. The artist, who arrived in the company of her manager Elton Byrce and stablemate Trey, shot the first video on Saturday night at George Village in Chiradzulu.

The videos are being shot by Malawian videographer Chipiliro Khonje. Cindy is a Zimbabwean singer and songwriter known mostly for her tracks Parere Moyo and Ndidzorere Moyo Wangu, whose music video was also shot by Khonje and won her the Africa Music Awards (Afrima) Best Female in Southern Africa award in 2014. Cindy also had some major performances with internationally acclaimed artistes. The list includes Grammy Award winning Beenie Man in 2010 as well as supporting act for Akon, Sean Paul and the Jamaican dancehall group TOK. She also collaborated with top African artists, 2face Idibia, Bongani Fassie and Ishmael. Cindy also performed at the Big Brother Amplified Eviction ceremony on May 27 2011.
