Zomba Police Station coordinator for community policing, Clement Mwale, said during the period under review, 1 150 criminal cases were recorded between January and July 2017 compared to 1 264 crimes registered in the same period in 2016.

He also said 4 299 road accidents were registered in 2017 compared to 5 223 road accidents registered during the same period in 2016, representing a decrease of about 17.7 percent.
“We have achieved these successes due to the meaningful partnerships between the police and the community,” said Mwale.
