Exeperienced midfielder Robert Ng’ambi has been excluded due to injury while Big Bullets players have been exempted as the Tanzania game clashes with their CAF Champions League first-round return leg tie against Al Hilal of Sudan.

The Flames are tuning up for Cosafa Cup, qualifiers for African Nations Championship and Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

After watching Phiri star for Caps during two games against Silver Strikers and Big Bullets on Sunday and Wednesday, Chimodzi has called up the 21-year-old attacker alongside Surestream Academy goalkeeper Brigtone Munthali and Nashoni Harazi from Hard Knockers of the Chipiku Central Region Football Association.

The team, which starts camp training this Sunday at Chiwembe Technical Centre, include Kasungu Medicals’ midfielder Remedy Munthali and Surestream captain Ernest Tambe.

There are new strikers from the Central Region League, namely Amos Khamula (Support Battalion) and Dave Balaka  (Dedza Young Soccer).

There are also newly called- up players from the Super League most notably Red Lions’ Pearson Panje, and Stanley Sanudi, Malumbo Gondwe both from Azam Tigers and Malawi Under-20. Civo United’s Nelson Kangunje has also made it alongside Mafco’s Emmanuel Chipeta and Schumacker Kuwali from Blue Eagles.

“The local players will camp for about two weeks while all the foreign-based players will join the team in Tanzania. The local-based players are asked to report for camping on Sunday 8th March 2015 at 5 pm,” said FAM in a statement.
