Tuno rekindles model swag

Musician and model Tuno Chloe Smyton regenerated her modelling career when she  conquered the runway during this year’s Wafe Fashion Night Expo held in Blantyre, recently.

Born Tunosiwe Mwakalenga, Tuno Chloe Smyton, who was also Miss Blantyre 2015 second princess, has lately been busy with her music career, which has seen her releasing singles such as Ego and Tandiuze and Run which features dancehall artist Cyapital and Heavy.  She also rendered her vocal services on I-Cent’s Jonzi.

Tuno: I make ends meet through music and modelling

But as the modelling fraternity was slowly forgetting her catwalk cloak and swagger on the runway, Tuno resurfaced with a bang at this year’s Wafe Fashion Expo. She dazzled with Terry’s designs.

Her bouncy catwalk, which was characterised by charisma, confidence and stunning outfit, attracted a deafening applause from the audience.

She recollected her experience at this year’s Wafe: “Terry’s clothing line was on point. And this year’s Wafe was filled with talented designers and amazing audience. In fact, I loved all the clothing lines that participated at the event. They were all hot.”

She said she was excited to have participated at this year’s biggest fashion festival in Blantyre.

“It was amazing to participate at the event. This has invigorated my modeling career and experience. I am looking forward to more business opportunities because such platforms help to expose me to business partners,” she said.

She said she is currently juggling music and modeling to make her ends meet.

“I do this to make my ends meet,” she said.

Themed Fashion Independence, this year’s WAafewas celebrating how fashion has evoked for the past 53 years, according to the organisers, The Creatives. Among others, they partnered Sobo Quench to organise this year’s event. n
