Ekhaya dominate transfer market
Blantyre-based TNM Super League newcomers Ekhaya FC have emerged as the biggest spenders in the mid-season transfer window after securing three new players.
With nine days before the window closes, Ekhaya have signed goalkeeper Joshua Waka from Blue Eagles alongside Civil Service United duo of Blessings Malinda and Moses Banda.
The trio was among the most sought-after players during the window as big guns Silver Strikers, FCB Nyasa Bullets and Mighty Wanderers were all chasing their signatures.

So far, FCB Nyasa Bullets have signed defender Khumbo Banda from PremierBet Dedza Dynamos and their former striker Bright Munthali.
Silver have taken on board midfielder Ernest Petro formerly of Bullets while
Wanderers, who recently hinted at signing three players, have signed their former forward Muhammad Sulumba.
In an interview, Ekhaya head coach Enos Chatama admitted that it was not easy to convince the trio to join them.
“They are good players, and we are happy to have them on board. It has been tough to convince them to join Ekhaya,
but now we have won that battle,” he said.
“They are now in our camp and we have to use them properly. We must help them settle into our philosophy and adapt to our style of play.”
The tactician also described the signings as a positive step for Malawian football.
“This shows that Malawian football is improving and we may see more competition in the coming years,” he said.
The former FCB Nyasa Bullets Reserves coach also urged fans to be patient, stressing that success takes time.
Said Chatama: “We are in the process of building a strong team for the future. People need to be patient.
“In the first year, we aim to stay in the league, in the second year, we may reach the top eight and in the third year, we may win something. Rome wasn’t built in a day. We are moving with a vision.”
Meanwhile, the new recruits expressed delight at joining the Blantyre-based outfit.
