‘Malawi to experience life-changing teachings’

Family Calvary International Ministries will be hosting Dr. Myles Munroe from Sunday to Monday. Munroe, from Bahamas, is a world renowned leadership coach, author and consultant. James Chimpweya talked to Apostle Dr Madalitso Mbewe, president of Calvary Family International, on Munroe’s visit.

Who is Myles Munroe?

Dr. Myles Munroe is an internationally renowned leader of leaders, author, lecturer, teacher, life coach, government consultant and leadership mentor. He is also founder of the Board of Trustees of the International Third World Leaders Association, a multi-professional global network of leaders, focusing on formal leadership development and training, primarily in developing nations. He is also founder and president of Bahamas Faith Ministries International (BFMI), an all-encompassing network of ministries headquartered in Nassau, Bahamas. He also serves as senior pastor of BFM International Fellowship, one of the largest churches in his native Bahamas country.

What is he coming to do in Malawi?

When he comes to Malawi [Sunday], he will hold a leadership seminar at Robin’s Park in Blantyre under the theme ‘National Vision and Economic Development.’ The following day, he will be hosting breakfast at Sunbird Mount Soche under the theme ‘Visionary Leadership’ from 7:30 in the morning where he will be addressing issues of corruption and unethical behavior, servant-stewardship, becoming a leader, power of vision and spirit of leadership. We have targeted decision and policy makers as well as implementers so that they can make use of the teachings to change our country.

Who are the people who have been invited to the meetings?

We have invited the office of the President, Vice-President, Cabinet ministers, the private sector, traditional and religious leaders, political leaders from all parties, business captains and chief executive officers. We target policy and decision makers. We want things to move in the country. Some of the problems we see are a result of poor leadership.

What has Dr Munroe done worth mentioning?

He has spent the last 30 years travelling the whole world and training leaders in business, education, government and religion. He delivers messages on personal and professional development to more than 500 000 people yearly and millions through his media programme.
