Adventists hold music concert
Central Malawi Conference (CMC), regional headquarters of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church in the Centre, held a music concert at Sunbird Capital Hotel in Lilongwe Saturday last week.
CMC director of music, Pastor Chancy Mchewere Banda, said the objective of the concert was to spread the gospel and provide a platform for singing groups to mix and learn from one another.
“The groups that participated were selected after rigorous auditions. Let me, therefore, congratulate you all on excelling through those auditions. The conference intends to hold similar events in future,” said Mchewere Banda.
Dr Winfred Masanjala, one of the event’s directors of ceremonies, said music is a source of unity because it is a universal language.
“In whatever you do, please, sing!” said Masanjala. n
